Today’s Worship Walk: Psalm 9:10

Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

Psalm 9:10

In my faith walk, I’ve struggled a lot with trust. For a lot of my life, God was a distant diety that I didn’t know much about. So I learned to lean on myself and my “own      understanding.” It was quite a challenge to read so many scriptures that commanded me to put my trust in God instead. I refused to give up trying to take care of my needs alone.

It took time, and not just reading about but experiencing God, to start to release parts of my life into His care.  To me, knowing His name has meant knowing more about His character, which is full of goodness and faithfulness.

Any growth I’ve had in this area is God’s doing. He reached down to me and showed me the care only He can provide. My best response is to trust Him with more and more.
