In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”

Job 12:10

There are many truths about God that I don’t understand. And that’s as it should be. But sometimes I start to ponder on the ideas that seem confusing, and ask questions that I probably won’t ever get answers to.

I used to get very frustrated by verses like this, because I couldn’t wrap my mind around them. How does God keep track of everything He created? That would inevitably lead me to ask: Why would He want to keep track of me?

The more I’ve learned about God, the less I ask these kinds of questions. When my thoughts run toward trying to figure God out (as if I could!), I remind myself that I don’t have to know everything. I have to trust the One who does. The One who created me, and continues to sustain me.
