2. Read these verses, and take note of what each says will help us renew our strength.
”Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.” (Exodus 23:12)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29)
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.“ (Isaiah 40:31)
3. What helps you find refreshment? Make a list of practical ideas to keep handy. Here are some “starters”: Reading a Psalm, Taking a walk outside; Talking to a good friend; Deep breathing, stretching; Listening to a favorite (worship) song, Writing in a personal journal. Try adding at least one of these activities into your day, especially if it’s a busy one.
