Whenever I feel small and insignificant, I imagine Jesus going to the cross to save me (Romans 5:8). And in the moments I am most overwhelmed by my weakness, I picture Him interceding for me (Romans 8:34). Just taking that second or two shifts my perspective and helps me take on a more accurate view of myself: nothing without the Lord, but precious in His sight.
He sees you that way, too. Amen!
“If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me.”
Robert Murray McCheyne
“I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours…My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
