Knowing what do I about God’s ability and His desire to make me able, why do I hesitate to ask for His help? Sometimes I think what I’m about to do is too small to bother Him with – but He wants to be involved with even the little details of my life. Other times I falter at the size or scope of what I feel led to do – but He wants to be my strength. When it comes down to it, there’s no good reason to do anything without Him!

One of the signs of a healthy church body is a sense of excitement about what the Lord is doing in its midst. The people truly want to share a time of worshipping God together, and actively look for how He is working. Another is the expression, through words and acts, of that ‘agape’ love to its members and those beyond the building walls.
Becoming more like this kind of congregation takes humility and commitment, and lots of prayer. When we ask Him, God is ready and willing to lead us closer.
