One of the great truths of God is that when we give of ourselves, we get back more. But it can be hard to reach out when we’re caught up in our own worries or difficult circumstances. I’ve found that one thing I can always do for someone is pray. That is a quiet yet powerful way to minister no matter what I’m dealing with.
“Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier.“
“A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
“A man is truly ethical only when he obeys the compulsion to help all life which he is able to assist, and shrinks from injuring anything that lives.”
“Trust in the Lord and do good…”
“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
