Study: Alpha and Omega

Note: This study corresponds to my Crosswalk article : Why It Is So Incredible That God Is Alpha And Omega.

  1. Read Psalm 90:1-2. Think about these truths Moses points out about God. What adjectives come to your mind when you think about God this way? Write them down. (Example: trustworthy, strong)

2. Look at the list of descriptions you made, and consider how you have seen that in your own life. (Example: Feeling God’s steady presence with you all through a trial.)

3. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has “set eternity in the human heart.” What do you think that phrase means?

Have a blessed day!

“God is alpha and omega in the great world: endeavor to make him so in the little world; make him thy evening epilogue and thy morning prologue; practice to make him thy last thought at night when thou sleepest, and thy first thought in the morning when thou awakest; so shall thy fancy be sanctified in the night, and thy understanding rectified in the day; so shall thy rest be peaceful, thy labors prosperous, thy life pious, and thy death glorious.”

Francis Quarles

”Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord…But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!”

Psalm 40:4,16
